Rutwa Engineer

Rutwa Engineer is a computer science assistant professor, teaching stream in the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). She is also cross-appointed with the Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy (ISUP). Rutwa primarily teaches Introduction to computer programming and computer science, in addition to computer organization and systems programming. Her research invites new ways of thinking, dreaming, and coding in computing education and AI in education through epistemic diversity. She is the faculty advisor for UTM’s first Society for Algorithmic Modelling. Moreover, Rutwa has published some of her work at SIGCSE, ITiCSE, SALTISE, CSSE, and AERA.
